First of the New Year goodies
(though actually I made them late last year)
These are my take on a very old idea.
As the title says, they are
Armchair Helpers
Made to fit over the arm of
a comfy chair or sofa
to keep your bits and pieces
tidy and close to hand.
I've had one for years but it's very small,
so I re-designed it and came up with these.
They are quite roomy, each pocket being
6.5" across & 4.5" deep on the inside,
and, of course, there are 2 !
The middle pin cushion measures
approx. 4.5" x 3"
and the total length is around 20"
Both have a dusky pink back,
and an olive green liner.
The pockets and pin cushions
are a lovely deep brown
with vibrant shades of
green and pink,
and splash of white
and a touch of grey.
The whole edge including the pockets
is trimmed with pink and white
gingham bias binding
so there are no raw edges showing at all.
The patterned fabric does have
slight anomilies, but I don't think
they detract from the overall look.
The total price, including P&P is £5.50
